Getting Started

Installation

Getting Mechvibes up and running is quick and easy. Choose your platform and follow the installation steps.

Windows

  1. Download the latest .exe file from the download page
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard
  3. Launch Mechvibes from your desktop or start menu

macOS

  1. Download the .dmg file from the download page
  2. Open the .dmg file and drag Mechvibes to Applications
  3. Launch Mechvibes from Launchpad or Applications folder

Linux

  1. Download the AppImage from the download page
  2. Make the file executable: chmod +x Mechvibes.AppImage
  3. Run the application: ./Mechvibes.AppImage

First Setup

When you first launch Mechvibes, you'll be greeted with the setup wizard that helps you configure your initial preferences.

  • Choose your preferred keyboard layout
  • Select a default sound pack
  • Configure volume and audio output
  • Set up hotkeys for quick access

Basic Configuration

Customize Mechvibes to match your workflow with these essential settings.

Start with a low volume setting and gradually increase it to find your comfortable level.

Sound Packs

Installing Sound Packs

Expand your typing experience with new sound packs from the community.

  1. Browse available sound packs in the Sound Packs section
  2. Download the .zip file containing the sound pack
  3. In Mechvibes, go to Settings → Sound Packs → Import
  4. Select the downloaded .zip file
  5. The sound pack will be automatically installed and available in your library
